We journey along Bhutan's "Lateral Route" to the central valleys of Trongsa and Bumthang to explore monuments filled with ancient treasures of Himalayan Buddhist art and legendary sites of the kingdom's ancient history. Roaming the kingdom's thickly forested hills and peaceful river valleys, we also discover the historic and beautiful cultural centers of Paro, Thimphu , Punakha, Wangduephodrang and Trongsa.  End your visit with a hike to the Tiger's Nest, one of the most sacred sites in the Buddhist universe.  This richly varied travel experience offers multiple insights into the mystery and beauty of the last Himalayan kingdom.
