BIOGRAPHY

Richard Manuputy as been teaching Hatha Yoga for over 20 years.   Teaching Style: Specializing in Hatha Yoga, incorporating the vigorous Vinyasa Flow complemented by alternately holding postures for prolonged periods of time paying particular attention to detailed and correct alignment. Classes are tailored to benefit students of varying skill levels from beginner to advanced.   • Richard lived in a yoga community in the late 1970s studying yoga philosophy and practicing yoga with meditation.   •  Born in Amsterdam , The Netherlands, in 1951, Richard immigrated to the USA •  in 1964.   •  A life-long admirer of the renowned master Paramahansa Yogananda, Richard is also a member of the Self Realization Fellowship.His practice has includes meditation techniques which teach pranayama or yogic breath control.     •  Quote: "Constant awareness of movement in conjunction with the breath brings calmness to the mind and fluidity of motion in the body.
